2023 – October part 4

Hey there

So, the last part of the month is upon us! I got some much-needed yard work done (pictured below) before my parents came to visit. The next day we went to a pumpkin patch. Arabella won a 25lb pumpkin thanks to hitting a target with an apple on a slingshot. Luca was hamming it up asking for pictures every moment he could.

The following day we went to MidCity Smashburger. There was a news story on them a few weeks back and they said that they were the number 4 burger in the US. So we tried it out. The food was so good that I only took a picture before we got things (that is of the water cup mainly because I like the Winterhawks logo as it has Mt. Hood in it).

What else? Work is still work.

Since it is Halloween and we have a fully electric car while ours is getting fixed, we decided to go to as many decorated areas as we could find. Here are a few below:

We spent a few nights getting out of the house and tracking these down. Some were new, and some were ones that we had been going to for a few years. We definitely added a few to our list.

Before we knew it, my parents we on their way back to Sacramento. See the photo of the kids waving goodbye. That night we went to a church event, a “fall fest” that was hosted. The kids enjoyed it, that’s the main thing (these kinds of events are rarely fun for the parents).

The next day we were notified that our vehicle was ready to be picked up – so thankfully were back in our own car. I will admit – I’m a little sad to see the fully electric part go.

Then today, yes today! We went and got the kids their flu shot, and on the way back home we stopped at “that” Japanese tree that we learned about a few years ago. It was blooming. Even the trees near the house are blooming. With the wind that we are having though, they likely won’t stick around for long.

until next time..
