CPS.
Hey everyone
Today has been a different day, not really bad.
I got up at 8:00 and got ready for my first day of interning.
So, I got to the church about 20 minutes early (at 8:40 instead of 9) I guess that’s a good thing. For the first half of the day I was signing papers and giving documents as you would in a regular job. I got keys to the church 😉 wooot. haha, uhm… and was semi-introduced to people. Saw and talked to Brandy (who is volunteering her Mondays to help out).
Found out that I will work mostly 4 days a week. Monday – Thursday (the church is closed on Friday to give people 1 day away from the church—we have services Saturday and Sunday)
For lunch Neil took me out to some Mexican restaurant, it tasted good.. whatever it was I had hahaha. Then I went back to the church and was doing miscellaneous stuff for the rest of the afternoon, until about 5:40, then they said I could go because it was the first day and not much to do but ease me into work gradually.
So I had to run to Target to pick up some khaki pants (can’t wear jeans, go figure–) then to payless to pick up some non-basketball shoes (– go figure again). I got annoyed over to Target, and more so on my way to Payless. Probably because of money problems.
Got home at like 6:20ish.. ate dinner and saw something on TV that made me happy.
13 to 5.
Thirteen to five.
Yep, that’s right.. the big one three to the little five. Yankees beat up, mobbed and then brutally beat the Redsox 😉 It was fantastic to watch.
Afterwards, I went for coffee with Brandy (about 7:30) we talked for a while about random things. Annnnnnd… uhm.. oh– I got home at 10:30ish.
You like the Ish-isms? good.
So after B squared went home, I talked to my family via phone. Michael and Heidi had to take Alexis to a hospital in Seattle because the little hospital in their town could not give the baby care like she needed. For those who don’t know she got burned. Details are something like the baby’s hand melting shut. Don’t ask me how the heck it happened.
CPS- like I said at the top. Child Protection services. They told my brother and his wife if they took the baby away from the hospital they would be reported.
So, blah. I didn’t know the last detail about her hand until tonight… but yeah. The baby.. hopefully will be okay, they are going to take some skin from other parts of her body to try and cover up the burned area? I think that’s what they said.
It was a pretty good day until I left the church haha.. and that is my conclusion.
Those who do pray, pray for Alexis.
“The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:8-11
Pray Hard, God Bless.
Ciao
