it has been a few days since I have updated.

I’ve got some pictures I took along the way, and then a brief update I suppose.

So I started off Monday the 22nd in the morning at like 10am.  I just went down I-5..

I wanted to take some pictures to be like ‘ohh clouds.. I remember those’

Look, Mt. Shasta.

So I stopped in Yreka, its some small small town in Northern Cali.  I stayed the night at some place that had wireless internet.

Tuesday the 23rd – I was on the road by 10am the next morning.  I went through more mountain range, and even entered into some storms.

This didn’t turn out to be much of a storm, but it did have off and on rain for quite a way.

I had planned to stop for an hour or two to visit some of my friends in Chico and I arrived around 1:30.  I was visiting Kristina and Landra, I also visited their mom.  So she bought me Starbucks and then I was set to go.

It was probably around 3:30, and they told me if I wanted to stay a night their house was open.

So.. I decided to stay.  I wasn’t on a schedule anyway so it wasn’t like I would arrive early or late.  And it would also help out with a non-hotel fee, haha.. so I stayed.  In the afternoon I got into a water fight with their sisters, it was much fun.  Everyone thought it was hot outside (when it was like 80 degrees).

Yeah I even made a new friend- meet buddy.

Wednesday the 24th was my biggest travel day.  I was up at 7am and left the house by 8:30.  I drove (with stops for breakfast and lunch) until about 7:30pm.  Man o man was that a long day haha.

Yeah, this was the mileage on my car- I thought it was cool so I snapped a shot real quick.

This was a poor attempt at a cool picture.  Through my eyes you could see the traffic reflected off of my glasses.  So it would have been a picture of the rear view mirror, looking at my glasses, looking at the traffic ahead.  Too bad it didn’t turn out.

I just wanted a picture of the rearview mirror and a good shot.  The bad part was I only had a chance to take this when there was no real view behind me.

I like driving near these trucks, you can see the reflection of everything – I think its cool.

A dust devil, but it was really well formed.

This picture turned out differently.. I took it and it kinda morphed with the speed the cars were moving.  I was just trying to get the color of the sky.

Notice how the sun is setting and I am still driving.. haha

It was surprising to me that it got dark so early… I’m use to seeing light until around 9, and that was a shot at 7:30.  So I got a room and was typing out this on my non-internet hotel room:

I left from chico today, I made the drive all the way down to palm
springs, and tomorrow I am going to sleep in until 10:30 or 11 because
I don’t care.  such a horrible attitude to have.  I am tired, I left
the house at 8:00 ish, got breakfast at 8:30ish and then was driving
until 7:30 minus stops for gas and eating.  I haven’t eaten anything
since around 1pm, and its 8pm now – but I’m just too tired to go get
anything, and my parents have called me like 10 times today, so that
has been getting on my nerves a little.  I mean.. really.

I could just go to bed now.

But.. I didn’t.  I did however slip out to my parents that I was tired of them calling me so much, and so now my mom isn’t talking to me.  My dad is fine, I even apologized.  I went and picked up food.  It was very windy, then returned to the hotel room – felt much better after eating.  I watched Kicking and Screaming?.. I think that was the name.  It was Ok, not great… but ok and fell asleep shortly after it finished.

Thursday the 25th – I woke up at 9:45 and felt fully rested (first time in a very long time).  So I left and drove into the Arizona desert.

This is what I was looking at…

I took a picture out the side to compare it to the pictures I took in Oregon and Cali.  I drove through the desert and into the Phoenix area, with the tempature being 109.  Yikes.. it was hot… is hot. whatever…

Then I came here to Lori’s and unpacked.  We went to Wal-Mart, picked up some stuff.. and then came back here.  She told me she had no plans for the night so I figured we would do something, but then someone reminded her that she had a graduation to go to.  So she left, and I went out to eat.  I got back at around 9 or 10, then Lori went to bed.

I chatted online a little (she doesn’t have wireless internet), but my laptop picks up wireless service from my room in her place.  I lucked out.

Today (the 26th) I woke up at 9ish and returned a belt to Wal-Mart twice.  It was annoying.. that’s why I don’t shop at Wal-Mart…… blah… anyway finally got what I needed this afternoon.. and have just been chilling at her house ever since.  I was going to go out to eat with Lori and Brandy but I had a headache.

So yes, I did watch the Mavs beat the Suns tonight 🙂

Then I downloaded a bunch of fonts for my computer (because it only had stock fonts)..
