New School Year!

Fall is Here!

2022-2023.

The Kids Started their new charter school last week. So far they have loved all of the fun things they have been learning. Everything from A’s first Spanish class to E’s fun new reading class. They both love having all new curriculum had their fingertips. Their first week of school the kids got to make ziplines and they had a blast seeing their toys zoom across the sky into their hands. This next week they get to do their own archeology dig. Both kids love digging… and I’m sure the third would too. A is into Egyptology and E is into Paleontology. Digging is pretty big in our house right now.

Undoubtedly we had a great summer. We may have traveled a lot less than in previous years but we made it count anyway. We had beach trips where we all let the waves kiss our toes, we explored secret tunnels, found new playgrounds and splash pads, visited with loved ones and spent as much time as we possibly could with one another.

It’s Summer ’22

It’s been an interesting couple of months! The kids finished another year of homeschool. They are growing up so quickly. It’s hard to keep up with them some days. This year Elijah completed Pre-K and Arabella finished 2nd. For the fall Arabella was accepted to Summit. Elijah has applied but we are waiting to hear back from the district. If they let him in as well they will both be going to their first Charter. I think they will enjoy it.

Arabella and Elijah went to summer camp this year. They had a lot of fun and really enjoyed learning all of the fun songs. Arabella made a friend named Haylee who was a little younger but they were like two peas in a pod. She was sad that summer camp was over because that wasn’t our normal church. Speaking of normal church we are kinda in-between churches right now. We’ve struggled to find a good fit after what went down at our last home church. The current one we are going to isn’t bad but they have no sunday school classes for kids from 6th grade up through high school. For now it’s a good temporary solution.

I can’t believe that it’s already summer. We haven’t had the chance to do much yet. I’m not sure if we will. It’s been pretty low key. Nothing very exciting. We did paint our Livingroom! It was brown and now it’s pale blue err I mean behr “Bellflower Blue”. It looks so much better. I despise brown walls.

Did I mention that we got a puppy? His name is Einstein Copernicus! He was born on March 3rd and we drove to Vernonia to pick him up during mother’s day weekend. He’s a sweet and sassy mini schnauzer.

Same post every year! It’s been such a big year too! January started off with a bang as Luca graced us with his presence and completed our family. He is such a light (as his name suggests). We hit the ground running and embraced the year by trying to experience as much as possible together. As a family we had so many adventures. We hiked through the gorge and discovered countless waterfalls. We traveled all around Oregon and explored the outdoors as a family like never before. It’s been a beautiful year. It’s also the year I’ve been recovering from my 3rd c-section and was diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease. It’s been an adventure for sure! Now as another year begins… and as I close another chapter I get the chance to cross a few things off my list and add a few more!
