How Does Time Fly This Fast!?!

Well I skipped my update last week. I didn’t mean to but things were super busy! I know I was slacking on updating y0u all with photos so hopefully I will make up with it in this post. Our little girl is wide eyed and expressionous now!

I’ve tried taking photos as much as possible because time has been flying on by. It’s been crazy!

Last week the house was super messy so this last weekend was spent cleaning! YAY our house looked and smelled so much better. I have such an amazing husband who is willing to help out around the house and with our tiny person. Saturday we went to church. Sunday was cleaning day. Monday I had a doctors appointment and so did Arabella. Oh did I mention it’s dreadfully summer here in Phoenix?!

My doctors appointment went alright. The doctor said my metabolism is extremely low and is running some blood tests.  She put me on a diet and is making me drink a green smoothie every day. Unfortunately the “diet” is WAY too expensive. She wants me to cut out all processed food and eat only organic… that’s not happening right now. We’re still paying off all of the hospital bills and probably will be for some time. We’re on a pretty tight budget. Probably the tightest we’ve been on since we’ve lived here. We will not be traveling or doing any extra spending anytime soon.

Arabella’s appointment went really well. She gained 6oz in a week so for now we don’t have to supplement with formula! She’s now 10lbs and 7oz.  The doctor says she’s really healthy even if she is a little underweight and right on schedule with everything else. I’ll take good news  🙂

Our little cutie seems to be hungry ALL of the time. She wants to eat either non-stop or every hour. It is only frustrating when I need to get something done (hence the house turning into a mess last week). She has also been exceptionally clingy lately. If I put her down she screams bloody murder. She even has to be in the shower with me. Last week she wouldn’t let daddy hold her. She’d just scream and scream. Thank heavens for this weekend when she let down a little bit and let her dad hold her. It was nice to take my OWN shower and go pee by myself without hearing screaming the whole time. Last week was rough. I’m thinking it was her little growth spurt! Today she even let me put her in her swing for a few minutes. 

She seemed to have grown overnight! All of her pants are short. And some of her outfits are super tight. Last week they fit fine.  I’m a little sad but very happy at the same time. I love to see her thriving but I know she is growing up and it seems too fast. I love my tiny person. I’ve grown a little attached to  her tiny clothes as well but am planning on trading them for new ones. We’ll keep a couple of them like the one she wore at the hospital and the one she wore home but I know we can’t keep them all. I think I’m just a little sad to part with the the tiny newborn we brought home. But I am completely in love with this little baby we have now. I never knew I could love two people so much. My husband and my daughter make my life so much sweeter. I feel beyond blessed.

Also, I don’t know if the pregnancy hormones have stuck around because I have also felt incredibly touched by family and friends who have reached out and celebrated Arabella with us. I have honestly never felt so touched in my life. You all have been amazing. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We are truly blessed beyond measure.
