Hey everyone

Finally an update.

I went to the Blazers game tonight (technically last night) and it was pretty good.

First off, our seats: (at least the view from them)

Blazers practicing

Now we had a good game going.  First quarter Suns hit every shot (practically), end of 1st and into the second quarter the Blazers stormed the gates and took a 8 point lead themselves.  Towards halftime one of the guys who was coming down the rows stopped by our row.

I looked at him.

He stood looking at us, then asks, “you here to see the Blazers?”

“yup!” and then he replied saying that it was good and hopefully we could break the streak.  (Suns had won 9 straight over my team).  He shook my hand then walked over towards my parents, then it clicked.

I also saw his name tag: Larry Miller.

Holy cow.  This is the President of the Portland Trail Blazers!!

I asked him if he could sign something for us and scrambled to grab something for him to write on.  He waited as we frantically looked for something haha.  We had him sign the back of one of our Tickets.  My parents kept asking me in a whisper (who is he?!) I kept telling them “the President of the Blazers!”

I couldn’t believe it.  Had I not been caught SO SO SO off guard I would have asked for a picture or something- but of course I only began to think of that after he left.  Anyway, it was really cool.

if you look at the picture of me- to my left you see 4 seats?  Him and another guy from the Blazers sat in the first two.

At halftime (at which point we were up) he walked past us, saying “lets hope we can break this streak” I told him we better keep it up! ..as he shook my hand again.

So that was the total excitement of my night.  He was a Former VP of Nike, plus President of Nike Jordan.  He’s pretty well known.

Oh yeah, the outcome of the game.  We lost 🙁  But I will be back again on the 22nd to see my team break the streak! 🙂

P.S. The Blazers were whistled for 25 personal fouls, the Suns 12. Phoenix shot 25 of 30 from the free throw line compared to 13 of 14 shooting by the Blazers.  That is the difference in the game.  This time the refs should have been wearing Suns jerseys.  All the calls were going their way anyway.

just Pray.
