Well.. your car looks okay”
-walks around to the back of her car-
“my car looks fine…”
Pauses
“do you want to exchange info or call it a day?”
-thinks-
“well, I’ll give you my info if you want it- I see a little scratch on your car, otherwise we can call it a day”
-extends had to me-
“okay, thank you very much”
-shaking her hard-
“thanks”
Yeah, that is how it went down. Today on my way to work I was involved in a minor accident in front of my old high school.
It was in a school zone (35 mph) but traffic was moving at maybe 25 instead of the posted. Well, something happened where one of the cars slammed on their brakes. Then it caused a chain effect, the next car slid to a stop (brakes smoking) and my wonderful little car couldn’t stop in time. So I ended up coming to a stop with her bumper.
We pulled over to the side of the road and that is when our conversation took place.
It would have been my fault and there could have been damage to my car or hers (as you always see in those stupid test simulators of crashes at 10 mph.
Anyway, that was my wonderful and eventful morning.
After all was said and done I was less than 15 minutes late for work.
Just Pray.
