so only one of two posts remain of NYC, so here we go.
First off- for anyone thinking the Subway system is small.. and not many routes to take.. I found a map online that I’ll share with you.

Yup. Fun times.
Anyway, so the other night we were in front of MSG and we noticed some signs for the Empire State building following down the road. Well off I shot, just looking to see if I could spot it.
That’s what I saw. I was kinda bummed because I didn’t get to go in it. Walking as close as I could I kept telling my dad that I was just trying to get a better picture. A few more steps and I could swear I saw a flash from a camera — way up on top! But this late? it was nearly 9:00
Well, come to find out.. it is open until 1am. I was pretty stoked.. and we got passes to go up on the observation level.
The elevators went from one to 80 in a matter of seconds. It was crazy, and apparently on the Towers there were even quicker elevators. Getting off on the 80th floor you are 1,000 feet higher than street level. Your ears start to pop..
They have a balcony for people to take pictures on the 86th floor, but you can also go to the 102nd floor..
You go from the fast elevator from 0 to 80, then another from 80 to 86.. and then another for 86 to 102.
They took us up in an old fashioned elevator (you know the kind… where you can see each level as you pass it and has that gate across the front… know what I mean? .. go watch an old movie) Either way. the views from the top of the Empire State Building from the 102nd floor are amazing.
We talked a lot with one of the workers who was working on the morning of 9/11 and from the Empire State Building he watched the whole thing unfold.
Back on the 86th floor (the only level where you can go outside.. on the 102nd floor it is encased in glass.
And if you can see to Above that blue line.. a little bit above that is where I was. On the 102nd floor..
