37.
Saturday April 26th at 3:09am.
Today was a bit of a crazy day. I couldn’t sleep that well, no surprise in that.. but I woke up and 7 and really just couldn’t fall back asleep. I laid in bed until 8ish and then decided I might as well get ready for the day. At about 9:30 Ruth took me to the airport so I could pick up my rent-a-car. It’s some Chevy car.. it is small and has just about no options on it. But on the up side, it was cheap.
Nearing Seattle..
The open road..
snow.. in almost may?
I guess so.
And it had recently snowed.. but it was like 50 degreess out..
After getting the car I started on my trip to visit my brother and sister in law. I left Portland at almost 10:00am & arrived at the house at about… 2:15. After visiting with Heidi for a little and meeting Ryan (their new-ish dashound puppy)- we decided to go to lunch. And another big surprise.. we went to McDonalds.
Heidi & Ryan.
We placed our order and waited 20 minutes for our food. I went up and the people working gave me attitude saying they were searching for who the food belonged to. Bologna. We were sitting and wondering what was taking so long, so after another 15 minutes they got us our food. It was probably the longest I’ve ever had to wait for food at a McDonalds.
Then we went for coffee at Starbucks. Yummy. While there observed this trainer guy giving these girls the rundown on the company, and boy oh boy was he enthuastic about the job that they were just recently hired for. It was worth noting. haha
Afterwards we drove and met up with Michael too. We just sat around and talked mostly for the rest of the time. It lasted a good 2 or 3 hours of just talking. My family had kept it a secret that I was going to be in town so my brother was quite surprised. It was good to see him and spend time with them both.
I ended up leaving at about 10pm and arrived at my friends apartment at about 2:30 this morning, but not before hearing of the great news. the spurs are up three games to none over the suns. just typing that out makes me happy.
I can honestly say that I am really tired. I’m not sure how the next two days will pan out, but I’m sure this will all be over before I have a chance to catch my breath or even get some sleep.
I do miss the northwest and it feels so good to be back…
just Pray.
p.s. I added photos to my first post, and this one.
