There might not be any more xanga for me.
Why?
I sent them an email.. over something I don’t like.
The email was as follows: “On my website there is a link to xanga.com. When I pay for the premium services I do not except to be also giving free advertisements for xanga. I love xanga and have been with them since 2003. I have had the premium service for a few years and I was able to edit the HTML to remove all xanga advertising on the previous layout. I like the new layout but am unable to remove the advertising. I believe that if I am paying per year, so far over $100 to this site – that I shouldn’t have to advertise. I tell people about xanga, and encourage others to sign up. But I keep my blog linked up to my website. www.jshox.com – I would like for the advertising to be removed, or for the option for me to add my own image and link in the space where xanga.com is. I look blogger.com which hosts my poetry (jshox.blogspot.com) and I do not pay for that site, yet it has less advertising than xanga does and as I said I pay for xanga. Please help me resolve this issue.”
I will keep everyone posted on what comes of this. I just don’t feel that I’m getting a good deal. Worst case senario is that I close my xanga *gasp* and open up a blog somewhere else. I don’t want advertisements, that isn’t what I’m paying for. Anywho…
Second thing that I will blog about is going to be called “Family Matters”
Not like the show- it doesn’t star Urkel, and you don’t always hear “did I do that?” but it does involve the family.
News was passed down yesterday that because of what happened with Alexis my brother has a good chance of spending time in jail/prison. Not just a little time, 21 years. His lawyer told him that there is very little chance he will win the case and that he should (lie) and say that his wife did it so that he can get off the hook.
It isn’t a good senario. God is good, all the time. I know he can work through this and do marvelous things – just sometimes it is hard to see that. Especially from my brothers point of view.
Safe to say this whole deal has caused quite a stirring in our family and shook everything up- even the foundation.
In other news, I should be getting my car back from the repair shop as of this Friday.
