2021 – July part 2

We were able to have a great time with the boys.

Elijah is not used to getting the majority of the attention. He usually will defer a good part of that and the spotlight to Arabella. He did like the things we planned. We wanted to make this time about him and Luca. The wife set up some time for him and her to make a pizza. We took him on multiple hikes (which he loves doing) and while at the falls one afternoon (at Multnomah Falls) they were closing down the food area and they had a lot of leftovers. We were walking to the falls when they asked us if we would like the food that they had left over. Well – if you can’t tell this alone made Elijah’s day. Eating a hot pretzel and a hotdog near a gorgeous waterfall is a nice way to end the day.

We went to the beach, Tillamook, and even the movies to see the new Fast and Furious “car” movie that Elijah kept talking about. I’m glad we got to spend this time with them.

It wasn’t too long before that happened that my brother started his onslaught of negativity/hate. He continues to keep me as a “friend” on Facebook, but I think it’s mostly to try and provoke a response from me. I am really past all of it. He posted these things, other things that spelled out the cursing, private messages telling me where I should go or how bad I am. Then he posted online about how he only has one true brother — that being Willie. *shakes head* It doesn’t seem to matter if I don’t engage or not, he has been doing this for years.

Arabella came back and when she did she immediately ran past Elijah (who was eagerly wanting to give her a hug and kiss) past her mom and me to Luca to hold and give him a hug and kiss. Elijah was quick to forgive her as she was his favorite person in the world (despite all of their fighting).

We then took a photo with Elijah in a new Cardinals jersey we got on clearance and went to get Arabella some new shoes!
