Hey

It’s been a bit since I’ve updated so here goes…

Last Saturday was my last Voices concert.  Afterwards I heard a chapel talk to the guests they had (I stayed afterwards to help load the sound equipment to where they hosted Winter Formal.)  Helped with setting up a very little bit, and then went home.

Monday I started to load the U-Haul.  Oh So Much fun……

I did however try some orange juice rockstar that didn’t taste bad.  I was surprised.  (hence the picture)

God knew we were leaving Portland (you can’t really hide anything from him), and he sent us away with something we didn’t get to see much of.  Started off as rain, but as the night went on- it turned to snow.

I was happy.

Hence my smile.

On Tuesday (t-minus one day) it was still snowing-ish.  Really wet snow during the day.  Clear at night.

The morning that we left (Wednesday), I woke up (after not sleeping much) to find that it was snowing pretty heavily outside.  It was beautiful.

The tempatures warmed up sharply as the day went on, the sun came out and cleared the roads for us to leave Portland.

We started down the road, heading east.  The same way the storm went.  See the mountains?  It was a sign of things to come.

Snow and ice.  It got packed onto my car.  It was so cold out, that the water on the roads that was getting kicked up by the trailer trucks landed on our windshields and added a nice layer of ice to our windshield wipers.  Causing us to pull over, multiple times to clear the ice off the windshield wipers so that we could wipe away the water before it turned to ice.

The snow came down during the passes.

A few days later, pretty much the same scene.

Going with a U-Haul through this weather isn’t the funnest thing to do.

Eventually we got to a point of the storm passing.  (On our 3rd day)

And we could start to see the red rocks…

Before we knew it we were out of the green and back into the brown.

Ah.  Sweetness….. such a rush.  haha… only get the chance to do it on this one or two stretches on the whole trip.

I did however.. break the speed limit.  Only a little……

Oh com’on you try driving 1400 miles in 4 days by yourself.

102_1386

And finally.. we arrived in Arizona.  I was ahead of everyone by a large margin.. mostly due to the speeds.  So I had time to get out of my car and take some pictures before everyone else arrived.

Anyway.  There will be another post coming in a day or two, giving another update for… uhm…

Well from Saturday til’ whenever I blog again.
