Hey everyone,

Kinda a news day… not about me.. just in general.. and random thoughts.

Islam.  What comes to mind?

Muslims.  What comes to mind?

I think well about them, despite the media’s coverage of the war and of burning the American flag and this and that.. I think about peaceful people.  Abdur-Rahim who use to play for the Trail Blazers once had a documentary on him about how his day went.  Truly peaceful people, just wanting freedom of religion.

I was a little surprised today when I was surfing around on CNN.com and read some things.  Not over the fact that they don’t want Christians around.. I’ve known that for a long time..

From the Article: “Rejecting Islam is insulting God. We will not allow God to be humiliated. This man must die,” cleric Abdul Raoulf told The Associated Press. Raoulf has long been considered a moderate and was often at odds with the Taliban, which jailed him three times before the hard-line group’s ouster in 2001.

How crazy eh?  I think so.. I thought those people who said that were the crazy ones, the ones who were extreme in what they said, but the article says he is a moderate.  It is apart of the Islamic law.  It isn’t that I necessarily didn’t know about this, but it is good to refresh your memory and keep it in mind.

This really isn’t an update post, more something just to think about – pray about.. and to know of.  My heart goes out to those people, my prayers are sent for them.

“O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.  Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony.  My soul is in anguish.  How long, O Lord, how long?  Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.  No one remembers you when he is dead.  Who praises you from the grave?  I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.  My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.  Away from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping.  The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.”  Psalm 6:1-9

Take care, God Bless,

Ciao
