hey

so I haven’t been able to update from my room, and for a few days the whole school as been without internet..

I came down today and used a computer in the main building of the school to see if they had internet connection yet and they did. Thankfully.. hah, I still don’t have it in my dorm room though so don’t expect me to reply to any messages or emails any time soon – well it could be up tomorrow, or two weeks from now… so I guess it just depends.

What have I been doing? I have been kinda all over the place doing a little bit of everything – including sleeping. It is a nice thing when you get the chance to sleep. I like it. I haven’t really been doing much anything too interesting because I am starting to run low on money, so I have to save my money so I can eat out on Sunday.

Hmm.. I still have not been able to get ahold of the missionary guy, so I contacted my intro to ministry guy and he said that he would contact him directly and then get back with me on Monday. I also might go talk to the academic dean here at school…or so some teachers told me that he would also be a good resource to go to. That is really the weight of things going on right now, and as soon as I get my internet back in my room I will be able to contact other people that I do need to get ahold of.

Yankees!! OH my Yankees!! They have been winning, I love it.. oh its so nice. Even today.. or yesterday I should say,.. I turned on ESPN (in one of the buildings at the school) and it was on.. the GAME. I don’t care if it wasn’t an exciting game or anything, this is the first Yankee game that I have seen since being down here.. I seriously think I was going through withdrawals. They won 🙂 It was good, they also have first place over the Red Sox, and most everyone at my school either hates the Yankees or goes for the Red Sox, so half the time I was watching the game I was also defending the Yankees.

As for the Blazers, they really haven’t done anything this off season to be proud about, but I think they really do have a good core to build on for the future. Everyone else is saying how they need to make trades so they can play well now, but the real key is that they have a good core, with talent- some of it is raw talent and they are now the Youngest team in the NBA thank you very much.

I don’t know about you, but I think I’ve had enough ranting for now.

On Sunday it looks like I was finally introduced to a church that is somewhat similar to Central in AZ. It was exciting.. I was like.. ‘wow these churches do kind of exist out here’ and it was good. I was actually surprised that it was like it was because a lot of people from Cascade were attending.

In school I had to write up a few papers and take a few tests since I’ve last posted, but I haven’t gotten any of the grades back yet from those.. so I guess that’s all the news on the school front and the Jfront
