Another month

Hey,

Another month has come and gone. It is hard to believe that yesterday was the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. I spent part of the evening yesterday watching the history channel and it’s documentary on 9/11/01. It’s kind of crazy to think that the video from 2001 is starting to look old, it is starting to look dated. I guess this is how it feels to be getting old?

In the past week or so we have been busy. We both had been applying to jobs near and far, some weeks we end up applying for over 50+ jobs. I’ve only heard back from one place and they are out of state and they only pay nine something an hour. I’m not so sure that will cut it.

This Saturday we are going to use some tickets that we purchased sometime ago. We bought two tickets to Six Flags a few months back for our honeymoon and haven’t yet used them. This weekend Kutless is going to be performing at Six Flags along with some other Christian artists. We thought this would be a good time to go. The following day we will be at an event in Malibu, at a company party for Galpin motors.

So last time I left off we were about to go to Sea World and Universal Studios. I can tell you now that if you have the chance to visit Southern California Universal, Disneyland and Six Flags are the places to visit. I can say this because I have already visited these parks previously and have yet again as of late. Sea World was a let down. We were expecting a lot more from Sea World and it did not meet our expectations. The rides look like they were last updated in the 1980s or earlier, and the new events that they have are nothing more than a dressed up kiddie ride made to look like something more. We watched the show for Shamu, some dolphins and other animals that they had on the grounds but were ultimately left feeling flat. I should preface this by saying that we were hoping to enjoy this park a lot. If you ended up getting a city pass which includes a free ticket to sea world, it would be smart to visit sea world first as each subsequent park will get better and better.

That weekend we also went to the coast with my family as we checked out an outlet mall that was in the area. We made a day of it and it was rather fun. We ended up stopping at Taco Bell and ate some empanadas on the beach. You couldn’t ask for a better setting. It was a cool day on the coast and with a warm empanada in hand.. we watched the sun set before our eyes.

And this is a picture of our gorgeous sunset…

Last thing, I just received an update and it was from the only employer that I had a chance with. They let me know that they will not be hiring full-time until October at the earliest. I suppose I will be keeping them in my contacts.

Hmmm and that’s about all there is to update for now.

I would love to see some rain but everything and everyone says that won’t be happening anytime soon. So I will wait for another day when perhaps we will have more than empty clouds hanging overhead.

just Pray.
