Off the Yellow Brick Road
Missouri!
We headed off from our hotel (see Ezra helping to push) and checked out a free Native American museum in the area.
Arabella loved looking at all of the items they had up and reading what they had to say. Elijah found joy in learning about the various artifacts they had and how to use them.

We headed back into Missouri to Joplin and St. Robert, where we were once again presented with Route 66 nostalgia.

We even came across a border area between Missouri and Kansas where the Yellow Brick Road served as the state line. Pretty cool.
We got a message from Micah that day, asking if we were traveling further into MO (we were not), but she wanted to meet up. I have to say that I’ve been surprised by who wanted to meet up (and we couldn’t because it was too short notice) vs. who I expected to meet up with but didn’t (despite ample notice).
Another unplanned stop was the Uranus Fudge Factory. It had been nearly a year since we’d been to the last one we’d come across in Indiana, so we figured we should stop and check this one out, too.

The Uranus factory was not far from the sign park, so we quickly stopped and took a few nighttime photos of the neon signs all aglow.

This was our last (fun) stop for tonight. We spend the night in St. Louis.
