Shatner, Smores, Summer
Hey there!
It’s June already! Nearly halfway through the year already. We spent some time fixing up our yard. We added rocks and mulch around the tree and the grassy area. Who knew it would look that good?
We also went to a school event for the kids to get out, run a little, and get wet — hosted by the charter school they go to. Luca loved this slide (as did the two bigs).

A little later on, I was on X– (formerly Twitter) because we ordered these “special edition” boxes of Raisin Bran featuring William Shatner – aka Will Shat, who has been advertising fiber. The box came ripped, taped up, and in very bad condition.
Growing up on The Twilight Zone and Star Trek, I took the opportunity to tweet at him and Walmart to let them know our box arrived very damaged. Would you have guessed he responded?

I didn’t expect it. It easily made my day. I had to contact Walmart Customer Service to get a replacement.
It is nice that Heretic coffee still is helping out those of us with a little less. They afford us a gourmet cup of coffee. Support them if you can. We need more non-profit coffee shops.
Hmm, oh! We went to a YMCA camp. Camp Collins.

You can see the kids cooking s’mores.
This was their 100th anniversary day, so they opened the camp to the community to experience it. If I were a kid, I would have loved this place – they have pools. Tons of stuff to do outdoors, plus it’s tucked away nicely into the woods. What’s not to love?
When we arrived a rain hower had just started. I suppose I couldn’t ask for any more than that.
Kids also learned that the YMCA is a Christian organization.
Suppose that’s it for now.
