All the little things

It’s that time again – the Portland Winter Light Festival is here!

We have been going to this now for 7 years straight!

This year’s theme is “All the little things” and the reason?
“Because the world is made of little things, And little things light the way,”

Be prepared for a photo dump! First off we have opening night. Arabella invited Arya to come with us, we also still had my parents in town from my moms birthday (they left on Sunday morning, the event started Friday night).

It’s always nice seeing the city come alive with something that is family friendly (something the PNW is not known for).

In the picture above you will see a big wall of ice. In this ice they carved whatever people loved. Luca said “Hot Wheels” and Arabella said “Trailblazers” and Elijah said “Fire” – kind of a cool concept.

There is always a lot to see. Each year we have visited we have had to come at least 3 to 4 times to see almost everyhing. Yes, almost. We typically don’t get around to seeing everything.

The next night? We went to the electric blocks for some more fun. This time picked up some free tea and sipped on it while looking at the lights. Oh yeah, this night Arabella invited Sethanne to come along. Apparently Arya didn’t enjoy it so much and didn’t staying where we could see where she was.

If you’ve never been to see this – its worth it. Every year I tell as many people as I can- and to be honest I can tell that it has grown quite a bit since we first were doing it.

We will be back next weekend – at some point.
