Amish Country
The Amish Country?!
Hold up, what are we talking about here?
Remember this movie?
It’s a good one! If you haven’t seen it, I recommend checking it out.
During our adventures across eastern Ohio, we encountered a few Amish individuals. Even saw a few horse and carriages on the road, but nothing like what we see below:
They weren’t going quite that fast.
We saw part of the Amish country while en route to see a Giant cuckoo clock. Then we visited a local museum. It contained a wealth of information on Sugarcreek’s history.
What else?
We went to Steak ‘n Shake for dinner—something we haven’t done since 2016 when we took the trip to Texas.
The main difference? Two things:
- You are no longer served; instead, you serve yourself.
- The prices are a lot higher. Like, two to three times the cost before.
Probably won’t come back very often. If we wanted something similar to this, we’d go to Freddy’s. Freddy’s serves very similar food and also offers desserts. I suppose, though, that we haven’t been visiting here frequently anyway, so it’s not really an issue.
