Marching in..

We are just three months into this year. It feels like a year since we visited Southern California and since we had that time off.

Funny how that works. This will also make a year since we visited Las Vegas.

This month marks 4 years since we visited Knott’s Berry Farm.

Crazy.

We started the month off similarly to how it ended. My parents were visiting over the weekend. Got to get some of my momma’s banana bread. Luca asks for it each time she comes. Sometimes he will ask to save the bananas until she arrives so she can make it.

Below you will also see a photo of Ezra with his Grammy. He likes to sit on the shoulder and then have you lean down, over, or move around.

That Monday, they headed home. That Wednesday was Ash Wednesday. New Hope had a service for it, and so we went. It was good to connect with others. Since the kids understood its meaning, we took a photo with our “Ash”. At church, you would place the ash on the person next in line and tell them, “From Ashes to Ashes, from Love to Love.”

Oh yeah, we got a new vision prescription for Ezra. Since he also lost his old glasses, it wasn’t a huge loss, but it was a reasonably significant cost to get new glasses out of pocket. Either way, he was happy with the new pair.

The temps have been warmer, and the sun has been popping out. Due to this, the grass has been growing like crazy. That means we had to fire up the old lawnmower again for this new season.

The following few days, things got pretty busy at work, to the point of having to work through church. Then I needed to work until 4ish in the morning. It wasn’t normal, but we had an outage that needed support.

Here is hoping for some rest.
