Portland International Auto Show

Hey there!

Heading out at the end of this month, my parents came to town for the birthday girl.

This weekend we went to the Portland International Auto Show. The kids always enjoy it, and so do we.

The most unique thing we saw was probably the Tesla Cybercab.

Arabella spun the wheel at the Tesla booth and won a 2-night free trial of a Cybertruck (for her parents to do). It was cool because the kids, especially Luca, seemed to love that thing.

We enjoyed the time, and by the end of the day, we had done a lot of walking.

We started off the day with pouring rain. It was nice – the rain was even warm (the temps were in the 60s, which is warm for this time of year and warm for rainy weather). My parents weren’t as big fans of it as I was. We had a pineapple express come through, so basically, a bunch of rain over a few days.

After the car show, we went outside, and it was clear and calm. We decided to go to Red Robin (since Ara and my mom had free birthday meals. I must tell you, most of the time, if we go into a dine-in restaurant, I feel like I’m going a little bit crazy. It isn’t the easiest thing to keep the kids occupied and behaving without screens.

If we use screens? Easy-peasy.

But we try to stay away from screens around the dinner table.

Tomorrow starts a new week—the last week of February this year.
