2024 – October part 2

hey again,

What better way to ring in fall with going to see the leaves change? Checking out the fall/Halloween events that are around the area?

We took a trip to Sherwood to go see the Pirates of Pinehurst. We found this event a few years ago and for some reason we haven’t stopped going. Every time we go the kids insist on watching some of the Pirates movies that are on Disney. This year they even had some costumes that you could wear while visiting. The kids picked out what they wanted to wear.

Side note: see the picture of Ara in the blue hoodie? That is my Tri Phi hoodie from college. I can’t believe she can wear it (even if it’s a little big, it is still crazy to me.

We also took a trip to Halloween town as well. the “Spirit of Halloweentown” based on some Disney channel movie that I’ve never really been into. The kids like it though.

The following weekend we took a trip up to Seattle because Ara was invited to do this simulator flight thing from one of the museums we have a membership to. Only a few kids got in so we said it was with the effort to take her. While in the area, we got something to eat at Dicks drive in. Then we went to Sears (one of the last in the nation). Had to say I took ALL of my kids to a Sears at least once (while I still can). I wrote up a post on Instagram about it here.

Speaking of things coming to an end: Shairs closed all of their Oregon locations (50 some in total) and now only have a handful of restaurants left open anywhere. We took the kids to one on the last day they were operating in the state.

Also some side news: Blazers games are now on local television! I was so excited when I learned about this. Smart move. Plus now we can watch the games at home.

up next? Halloween!

just Pray
