A week away
Hey there
This is the week that the wife and the daughter left town.
I didn’t have the greatest send-off. I went out to give Ara a hug and a kiss, but she only gave me a side hug before pushing me away and running to her friends.
Love it.
Who knew? I figured a ‘daddy’s girl’ would want to… maybe say goodbye since she wouldn’t be seeing me for a week? I guess not.
I spent the week with the boys!
We had a busy week. I took the kids to VBS (which was scheduled for all 5 evenings); however, they only attended 3 due to listening issues and refusal to participate. This includes being very loud and disrespectful during work calls, and making a mess while refusing to clean it up.
What can you do?
Feel like you are going crazy. At least that’s what I did.
I did get Elijah’s old room fully cleaned out, cleaned the carpets, and even went as far as to paint the entire room (since there was a lot of damage from when he and Luca were in the room).

What else?
Oh! Luca lost his first tooth (pictured above). Mom wasn’t happy to have missed that.
The flowers shown above had to be removed from our front yard after they fell over because they had become too heavy.
Also pictured is the Friday cookout (which Ara and Sky both attended, since they had come back earlier that day).
Now more cleaning and packing.
P.S. The wife had told me that going to Black Lake Bible camp was nothing like the Netflix movie “A Week Away” which we were ultimately not surprised, but still disappointed by.
just Pray
