Twelve

Hey there!

On the 27th, the girl attended a dance.

She went to this (being her 2nd) school dance with Alice (from church), the same one with whom she had become very good friends at Black Lake last year.

She was once again excited about going. She had a blast with her the first time around, famously telling us that she and Alice were the only two that spent the entire time dancing and having fun- this time she was able to bust out her “Lorraine” dress from Back to the Future. She wore it well.

Side note: The girl asked for them to play DJ Laz – Journey Into Bass last time she did this. They didn’t play it, because they weren’t sure about the song and hadn’t heard of it. Afterwards, we messaged DJ Laz on Instagram to let him know, and he responded. That’s prettttyyyy cool if you ask me – Ara has that song on her birthday playlist this year!

It was cute.

Gave Alice a ride home, and on the way, the girls were in the back of our black vanborghini, singing away without a care. She told me she had just as much fun this time around, too. They had fun and met up with Sophie at the dance, too.

Later that night, she came home, and we celebrated her birthday properly.

The following day, she had a bunch of friends over to the house for a party.

She had over: Lynley, Alice, Sethanne, Arya, Lily (who even spent the night), Camille, Eleanor, Sophia. Who couldn’t make it? Lexie, Amira, and Ruby.

I took the boys out of the house so that it would be an all-girls event – and it was!

After all of this, the wife was very tired. She spent a lot of effort setting all of this up. And those of you who have kids know it’s usually not a bunch of appreciation from those it’s done for, or anyone else, for that matter.

Anyway, who would have guessed that in 9 years she would be 21- that’s wild to think about. She looks rather grown-up in some of her outfits… It’s like, whoa, chill, it, girl. Keep those My Little Pony outfits for now.

As if she weren’t a pre-teen, we almost have a teen!

Yikes!
