Dairy Farms and Museums

Something you would think would be in abundance? Dairy farms.

We didn’t actually come across any randomly while driving throughout the state. We did, however, find one that was listed as a top place to visit.

Young’s Dairy Farm.

We stopped here and got some ice cream. We also purchased tickets for the kids to ride the carousel. Many of the activities, unfortunately, require some amount of money. Due to this, we didn’t have the opportunity to explore everything. Some of the activities looked fun, others? They wouldn’t have been worth the money.

There was a play area available. It is equivalent to a play area for kids that you see at most malls. It costs around $5 per kid. Worth skipping.

We did get some ice cream and other items from their gift store. We couldn’t pass up some ice cream, could we?

Even if I thought we could, it would be simply unacceptable to our kids!

Next Stop? The National Museum of the United States Air Force. It’s a free stop and 100% worth checking out.

There were many things to explore here. I believe they had three main branches to explore. We only had time to check out one area, which took several hours to do.

After that stop, we were spent. It could be because of the kids running everywhere and fighting throughout the museum. Luca and Ezra wanted to be in and out of the push cart. That might have been a factor in our exhaustion.

We then headed out to Culver’s across the state line in Indiana. We haven’t eaten there since we lived in Arizona, and thought it would be nice. It was mostly nice, but really expensive.

After eating, I looked at the maps and noticed that there were some dinosaurs nearby. Dinosaurs+kids=happy kids. Honestly, it was pretty good, and they moved as you approached them. These small stops along the road turned out to be time well spent.

The dinosaurs were from an area called Uranus. Next to the dinosaur display, they had a little shop and store… so we stopped in. We ended up getting fudge from Uranus. They really know how to pack it.

The kids had a great time at that place.

Next stop? Our hotel.
