Sunday Baptism, and more!
Hey again,
We took Arabella up to Jacuqees’ on Sunday. We spent a couple of hours visiting before finally making our way back home.
The next few days were pretty chaotic. The boys decided to do whatever they wanted. They were pushing out the screens in nearly every window. They ended up breaking a couple of them, too. If that wasn’t enough, they climbed out of their window and started stacking things so they could easily do it as they wanted. When we asked them to clean up? Well, things were shoved (not only under the bed) but even out the window.
Ezra has been fun. He has this great smile and is at an adorable age when he isn’t throwing tantrums. Here are a few photos of him.

We have been watching the NBA Finals. We have been rooting for the Pacers to win, but alas, they lost their star player in game 7 to an Achilles tendon tear. Brutal. There went the series. It would have been the first time they won in their franchise history.
Also, the temps have been GREAT! In my last post, I had an update about the weather, which was in the 90s; well, that changed. It didn’t last for long (thankfully), and the rain returned. It brought some much-needed cooler weather, reaching down into the low 60’s and even a day or two in the high 50’s.

What else?
More rain! I love the rain. I’m sure you’ve figured that out by now. What isn’t there to like about it!?
I took a screenshot of our Doppler radar widget/app showing how much rain was in the area. I also took a photo of our moonroof, which had the rain accumulating into big drops.
Want that app? Here is a link to it.
The following day was Sunday. It was beautiful outside, with temps in the 60s and the first day of Mega Sports camp (New Hope’s version of VBS for the kids).
Luca was looking forward to playing basketball. All the kids were there, but I mentioned Luca because he was the only one in a group where they wouldn’t get the opportunity to play basketball. Instead, he plays in a park and does some bible study. To say he is disappointed is an understatement.
We couldn’t have that, could we?

After the event was over, I decided to go outfor 3 or 4 days, and played basketball with Luca. Above is a photo that Arabella took (didn’t know she was taking any pictures). We also took Ezra to the park on the last day.
Here is a view of the week:
Over the weekend, we went to a few church cookouts. One is at Good Shepherd church (a patriotic event), and the other is at Rock Creek church (where the kids have been to VBS). The one at Rock Creek was much more relaxed, as was our jam. Either way, it kept us busy.
We got up early on Sunday to go to New Hope’s first service. I didn’t expect the 9 am to have fewer people than the 11, but it’s a smaller gathering. After that, we hung out at church since they had a Sunday Funday event. An excuse to stay after church and socialize. Once that ended, we went to West Linn. I got a quick (free) charge for the Pachy and filled it up with some sparkling water (from a typical water fountain- who knew?).
Also took a look at the Wilamette Meteorite (picture below). In 1902, the 15 and 1/2 ton Meteorite was found. (The largest ever seen in the USA). Kinda cool. The meteorite is displayed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
We then went to Sofia’s baptism. We went to Rosie’s and wanted to celebrate Sofie too. She decided to get baptized in the coooollldd river water.

After the baptism, the kids all took turns swinging on a big tree swing. Looked pretty fun to be honest.
Then we had plans to go to a splah pad – however, I ended up getting a migraine and well… that was the rest of my weekend.
