The Big 8

A couple of days ago marked another year around the sun for the boy.

You guessed it – Elijah’s birthday.

He had a fun day (but then again, how could he not?!).

Since it was Saturday, he decided the family would go to Good Shepherd as part of his activities. Some people came over for his party and brought him gifts (see: JJ and Jeanie). He also went to Sushi with Grammy and Grampy. He got a battle bot toy, which he loved playing with, and all his new items.

His theme this year was Universal Studios. He had some Jaws, some Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and other movies.

The next day, we went to OMSI (as part of his birthday weekend). Why, you ask?

They happened to have a Jurassic Park Lego experience. Lijah loved it (as did all of the kids). They said it reminded them of Universal and made them want to return to the theme park.

After finishing up with OMSI (Elijah got to be Owen from the movies and stop Blue and another raptor), we took a trip to the Oregon Heritage Rail Museum.

We have been here before, but it was during the Winter Light Festival some years ago. It was cool to go again – Luca and Ezra weren’t born, and Elijah was much younger. I think Ara was the only one who remembered going here previously.

All in all? His birthday weekend went well for him. He agrees (so there is that too).
