May Day
Hey there,
It’s gonna be May! Well, no, hold that thought. It IS May! Sorry, Justin.
Here is a fun tidbit: I saw a clip of Justin talking about that meme. He said that at the time, he was instructed to pronounce “Me” more like “May,” which is why it is how it is!
Arabella was excited to get things going. Why? She had a ‘camp out’ at Good Shepherd church with other pre-teens like her. She enjoyed it, and it went off without any issues. See the photo below of her walking into the event.

The very next day, Ara and Lijah both had plans. New Hope was hosting a Nerf challenge. Where the kids would all meet up and play for a few hours. Luca was a bit young to attend, so while they were going crazy, we took Luca and Ezra to the mall. There, Luca was able to ride the merry-go-round. He was pretty happy.
Not too long after that, we went to a local nursery. Our mortgage company had this bingo checklist of things to do in the spring, and we got Bingo! They sent us a gift card, which was the right amount to get a small tree. We went home, and after a day or two, we dug a hole in the yard and planted her.

As you can tell, the kids helped to pick the tree out.
It’s been beautiful weather this month. Temps have only gotten to 80 or more, and it’s been trending to be friendly and calm this month.
Due to this, the grass has been growing quicker than usual. When I go to mow the lawn, I see this when looking in the house. The two littles were watching me. They are silly.

We had our yearly eye appointments, and the kids are getting glasses. Luca will now need to wear them all the time – like Ezra.
Outside of that, the only other big news is that we made another trip to the dealer, where we got the Pacifica. We left a review about some touch-up paint they used to fix a scratch on the bumpers and a touch-up of a chip of paint they fixed, mainly because the quality of work resulted in a few thousand dollars’ worth of work to get right.
They said to bring it back, and they would make it right. That was surprising! So we dropped it off and returned a week later when they said it was finished.
Unfortunately, they didn’t do anything to it – at least nothing noticeable. I called the general manager and showed him everything that needed to be corrected. He returned, saying they never painted where the paint was missing, but missed the bumpers. He pulled out our contract. They never mentioned painting the rear quarter area, and as far as he is concerned, the dealer won’t do anything to correct it. The bumpers were mentioned, and he said they would keep them for some more time and try to resolve them.
It takes a good 2 hours to get to the dealer. It wasn’t a fun ride to drop it off, get a loaner, or return it without having it fixed. We are driving around in a Honda Odyssey, getting a whole 20-something miles per gallon along the way- bleh.
The whole thing is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. I hope they have it fixed in another week!
