2023 – May part 1
May Day!
(to be honest, it kind of feels like that!)
A lot will happen in the next month. By the first week of June, I will no longer be a consultant at Microsoft. My 18 months is nearly up. There are no new projects slated for me as of yet, so I’ll be going to the bench until one is found, or until the clock runs out.
Anyway! No need to focus on that just yet.
What is new? Well, I did a deep clean on our floors in the house and did some spring-ish cleaning.
The lawn has been growing like crazy now that warmer weather and rain are still present so I had to get out and mow again.
What else? We took the kids to the eye doctor for our annual checkups. The kids need glasses! At least, it’s recommended at this point for them to have some while using devices, as a preventative measure to ensure no long-term damage to the eyes that will all but confirm that they’d need glasses long term. Not the worst news ever but not the best either. I suppose on the positive side, Luca doesn’t need them as he doesn’t get any screen time and is too little.
Our Christmas tree that has been drying out in our backyard was ready to be snipped into little pieces. I had a helper in the form of Elijah who stayed outside and helped me break it up.
Did I mention it’s been great weather outside? Due to this, we took a trip to the Columbia River Gorge to chase some waterfalls (it never gets old, so don’t even try telling me you are past that). Luca posed for a photo and I have to say with his hair doing its normal crazy thing, it turned out to be a pretty great shot.
And that’s all I have for this time! More to come soon.
