2023 – March part 3

Hey,

We hoped to not end the whole month sick and we were fortunate enough to start feeling better on the last one to two days of March.

What does that mean? Our annual trip downtown to see the blossoms. We took the kids and were blessed with a sunny afternoon that allowed the temps to warm up nicely (in the low 60s). Here are a few shots from downtown:

It was nice and if you couldn’t tell from the photos we went close to sunset. We got the “golden hour” – but I must say, compared to some other years the trees were not fully blossomed. Probably 70 to 80% (which technically means fully bloomed) but we usually hit them up when they are just about 100%, this year however everything seems to be blooming later. For example, in Salem, they are only 40% bloomed at this time.

Luca is a cheezy kid. Takes some great photos tho, for a cheese ball that is. Was even able to get all three of them in another photo before they all started doing their own thing.

The next day the kids were doing their homework on their laptops and Elijah got mad at his work. He took a spoon that he was eating with and started stabbing his screen. See Exhibit A (above). Yeesh. Now we have to find another way for him to do his online school. Maybe we should keep all of the silverware locked up?!? ha.
