2022 – July part 2

We have a pretty packed July.

First Emily showed up, the next weekend was a wedding that Maryia would be taking photos at (Jacquee’s sister’s wedding). Amber and Josh would be visiting the week after. Following that Grammy and Grampy were visiting (for the first time in a few months – the longest span they have ever gone without visiting). The weekend after that we would be going to a birthday party for Cassie and her kids.

We are on the home stretch for the end of July. We wanted to finish painting the family room before Amber and Josh visited. It will be a push to do the kitchen too, but at least we will have the family room complete. Emily got to see the house in a mess but that wasn’t planned. Still wanting to make some family fun time we decided to play Monopoly! These were the items everyone picked (T-rex = Elijah, Horse/Pony=Arabella, Boat=Maryia, Thimble/Kiss=Me). Thimble/kiss? If you don’t recall, you can watch this clip:

Above are also a few photos of our family room during and when we were doing the finishing touches.

The Blazers had a family event where you could visit Dinolandia (by Mike Bennett) for free. It normally costs a few bucks per person. We went and it was pretty fun. It was a great morning to do so because it was super cool and had a marine layer in until the afternoon. They also had the ‘flix on the bricks’ going on downtown and we watched a part of “Encanto” before going to Dinolandia a second time. The movie downtown was fun because they provided popcorn, candy, and the works.

We took the pup to get a free puppy drink at a new Black Rock location that was offering free drinks for everyone. Kinda nice that they do something for the dogs too. We returned our couches to Costco because they were getting damaged easily and it didn’t seem like they were going to last. Anyway, after returning them we were on a mission to find a new furniture set (which we found a couple of short weeks later). Above is a photo of when they were delivered.

Finally, on the last day of the month, we decided to take a trip over to the coast. We brought the dog (who ended up having some motion sickness… in a dog? Who knew that was a thing? But hopefully it’s just a puppy thing and he will grow out of it) and let him run around on the beach and in the waves. The kids had fun even if they had a tad bit of trouble listening to their parents.

On the way back we got gas again – prices dropped again! We are down to 4.29! I never thought I’d be excited about prices in the low $4 range but here I am!
