2021 – June part 1

We wanted to give the kids a chance to get wet in some falls. We found Coopey Falls (in the gorge) and let them have it. Lu was so excited to get wet, he could barely contain himself. It was super nice because we had the place to ourselves.

Would you be surprised if I told you that we went on more hikes? Well, surprise! We returned to that hike that I took the kids to but this time we brought the whole clan. Along the way, we even picked Salmonberries as a nice hiking snack. Yummy!

We went to another few covered bridges too.

We stopped over in Springfield, Oregon. The Simpsons creator even has themed areas of the city. I never really watched it, but it was cool nonetheless.

In rural Oregon you also get a lot of “Back the Blue” “Unborn Lives Matter” and “Take America Back” and oodles of flags. Why?

If it was obvious, Trump has totally and unequivocally perverted the flag. I should stop there before I start on another rant.

Let’s end this post on a positive note. We took a trip out to the coast and went to a state beach. This one (pictured above) was so pretty. The whole edge that I captured a photo of just slopes down to the beach. It leaves a nice area for you to sit back and have almost a natural seat to watch God paint the most beautiful sunset.
