2020 – August

Our grass is coming in nicely. I really like the way it looks and I think we should for how much it set us back.

They had a statue up for Trump in downtown Portland and called it “Ode to Putin” photos below. Pretty spot on if you ask me.

Speaking of Presidents, one night I dreamed about hanging out with Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama (3 former presidents). The dream was such a vivid memory when I woke up that I created an image so that I wouldn’t forget it (see below). Glad they took a selfie with me.

Since the grass was coming in so nicely – full and even I decided that it would be a good time for the family to take some photos out front (lay down on the lawn). I think they turned out pretty perfectly.

No more than a few days later, Elijah touched the stove – and immediately regretted the choice.

Took a few more hikes in the warm summer weather to cool down in some waterfalls. Even went knee-high for the kids in some (see below).

We took another trip to Albiqua falls. Crazy hike to do especially when your wife is pregnant. Hiking down dirt paths, and wading in water to cross.. getting yourself up and down via a rope as the incline is too steep? Yeah – crazy to do with a pregnant wife, now add 2 kids into the mix as well. We were exhausted by the time we were done.

The Blazers beat the Los Angeles Lakers (nobody should be surprised by that). Due to this, the kids wanted to wear some Blazers gear and take a photo next to our current star: Damian Lillard. As we don’t have his cell phone number to do so, we did the next best thing and went to a mural that was done up for him. “Do you know what time it is?” The answer is “Dame Time” *and when you say that you tap your wrist like Elijah is in the photo above).

Winter is coming.

That means elections are in November. Things are pretty hotly contested on both sides. Trump is saying if he doesn’t win it would be because of cheating. We’ve never had another president act the way he has acted. In a true sign of the times – it is unprecedented. A word that we keep hearing from COVID and around the world.

I have added a few things that show my thoughts on the whole thing.

We visited the Troll Bridge (Arabella was a BIG fan) and said she wants to return soon. She also has started First Grade! Whaaaaaaat?!

The last image of the month is a picture of some damage that our car has. Why? Let me tell you. We were sitting at Office Depot waiting for our online order. The wind was blowing and knocked the metal sign onto our car. The manager came out, apologized, and got the insurance information. Now we have to wait and make a claim, get an estimate and get it fixed.

just Pray
