More positive changes have been underway.
I have been able to secure a role in the FIU (the Financial Intelligence Unit) for Amex. This is a role that normally is given to those that have a doctorate, or previous employment with the government, law enforcement, lawyer, homeland security, the NSA.. you name it. Everyone in my training class has that experience – except me. I’ve heard it said that you should never be the smartest person in the room, but I feel really blessed that God has given me an opportunity to shine here. It is great exposure to something new and it gets me off of the phones. It also allows me to work a normal 8 to 5 schedule. God is good! All the time, God is Good.
Jake will go outside and lay in the sun, if he gets too warm you will then see him sprawled out on the tile inside the house cooling off. What a crazy cat.
On the 15th of the month, we also went to the Blazers vs Suns game hosted here in Phoenix. Long story short –we won! 87 to 81. I have seen a distinct change in the behavior of those around me now that I have a small child with me. They are not nasty at all – if I were to go to this game prior… I can still remember people telling me to “Go back to Oregon” even though I was probably more from Arizona than they were.
Anyway, it’s a nice change.
One weekend we went to the Challenger Space Center (in Peoria) and were able to see everything they put together. To be honest it was underwhelming. I think they could have done so much better. I’m glad that there is something to help people remember, but really it gets lost in the noise of everything else they have going on. Even the model they had was of Atlantis. Here are a few photos we took while visiting.
Doesn’t it seem like we are in a season of change? Maybe that is just life, but it feels more relevant now.
After going from shop to shop trying to find a Fusion Hybrid with specially made Red leather seats – we found her at Peoria Ford.
This thing is SO NICE. I really wish you could see it. I would not change one thing about this car (other than the sticker price, but who wouldn’t want to make that less?!)
just Pray
