2015 – February part 2

As our girl was turning one in less than a few weeks we decided to take the weekend and go to LA – we would stay with our parents and have some fun. Fun would be a nice change. Don’t you think? Plus considering that we now will have a place to live for the rest of the month that should give us time to lock down another rental.

Off to southern California – we took her to see the Lights at the La Brea tar pits. We went to Taste Chicago (Rossi from Criminal Minds owns the restaurant). It wasn’t anything to write home about. In fact, we had a running joke that one of us might just Rossi our shorts before we made it home based on how good the food was.

Below is a photo of the outside of the apartment where we are staying. Thank you again, Jennifer, this is such a lifesaver. We are grateful to have a friend who was able to help us out. The next photo is inside the apartment – Maryia purchased an outfit for Ara as Grammy’s favorite duck. She makes an adorable Donald Duck (and has a temper like him too). I think grammy will go crazy over this when she sees her in person.

We took another trip to Southern California to celebrate her birthday. She loves the beach so much that it seems like we would be doing her wrong if we didn’t go back for this special occasion. She had chocolate cake and we ate out at Fuddruckers. Things are starting to look up!
