Nearing Halloween

We are almost in November.

I’ve already cast my vote for the presidency..

And this was also my first time with a mail in ballot. I liked it because you had time to look through all the measures and people and make a more educated decision.

Anyway, I am 1 – 1 voting record wise so far.

In the midst of everything we are still very much in the air about our future. It will be decided very quickly and in a few days at most.

Our day to have everything decided… is Tuesday.

We have been searching nearly every day for places to live that we can actually afford with my income. We put an application in on one apartment which we really liked but it turns out that there was another application and they didn’t let us know for two or three days later. After those days they contacted us (after repeated emails and calls to them inquiring of an update) & they let us know that the other application had been approved before ours. We will see how everything turns out as we are nearly at the deadline.

We had our eyes set on one other apartment and we have been contacting them to see if it is even going to be a possibility. We have a pending offer on one other apartment, but it doesn’t seem too likely as there was already an application on the table for that one (once again before us). Who knew it would be so hard?

If it doesn’t happen- If something doesn’t happen by Tuesday or if we don’t have something to go on ….we have to let Capital One know. At which point (and understandably) the job offer will be retracted due to the living circumstances. That’s the deadline they’ve imposed.

So for now we wait.
