COP

— All people are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law —

On today’s episode we resume with drama.  Of course, as our highlights would suggest, we have yelling shouting, Cops, theft and a whole lot of F’bombs.  Sorry, no running from the cops was caught on camera… this time.

I started off my Sunday night by going to visit with a friend who I hadn’t seen in … almost a year.  I got to her apartment at 7:15.  I called her to find out where she was at.  Down the street, she will only be a few minutes.  So I sit… patiently waiting… and waiting and yes waiting.  I called her again and she told me she was having a bad day- but would be on the way shortly.  Okay.

I was waiting, looking at her door.. and it was soooo entertaining.

You should try it.

Twenty minutes later, I’m starting to get annoyed.  I called her, no answer- so I left a message telling her she had 10 minutes to show up.  She calls me crying.. saying she needs more time.  I wait.

So after waiting outside her apartment for over an hour, at 8:30 she arrived.  Walking up to me she lets me know she had just broken up with her boyfriend of a couple months.  Oh joy..   Okay.  I get it.. it’s cool.  She needs to vent.

We go inside her apartment to find out that her ex-boyfriend (who is the father of her two kids) has not brought them home yet.  She explains she gave him a key to her place just today so he could drop the kids off when he was done.  Frantically she starts to pace around looking in her apartment.  She notices her DVD’s are missing and DVD players.  She picks up the phone and calls the police.

After calling the cops out, she talks to me about how she can’t believe this is happening to her.  He has stolen stuff from her before, but she didn’t think it would happen again.  Yeah, she knows he does Crystal Meth, but.. he wouldn’t do this again.  Plus its her kids father- she doesn’t want him in trouble.

At this point her recent ex-boyfriend calls to get his friends bike back.  She explains to him what is going on, but he doesn’t care – he wants out of her life.  She gets so upset over this, she bring the bike inside and tells him that she doesn’t know where it is.  He got upset and stormed over to her apartment.

So now.. it gets fun.

We have the ex-boyfriend outside, knocking on the door (and no she won’t answer) wanting his friends bike back.  Her kids are still missing and stuff has been stolen from her place.  What a great situation I stepped into.

After a while of this standoff I talk her out of being stupid and causing any further drama for herself and coax her into giving him the bike.  Hooray.  One thing done.

He leaves and she is more upset about him not caring than about her kids being missing than her kids being missing.  Oi vey..

Then the father of the kids shows up.  Drops the kids off and gives her the key back.  She storms up to him and proceeds to verbally attack him, using most of the swear words I know of.  That is quite a list. haha..  He didn’t want anymore of it, he went out of the apartment.  She dashed after him to get his licence plate number… but he got away too quickly.

Her mom arrives at the house and shortly after this (and some three hours after she placed the call) the cops arrived.  They took down as much information as they could and went on their way.

Then I spent about 20 minutes talking with her before I left.. because I had work the next morning.

Wow, just drama.  Full of it and I realized I never — ever… ever want to have any way shape or form.. even a remanence of what she has.  It also (for the first time in a long time) made me glad I was single.  I was reeling from the whole thing the rest of the night.  I couldn’t really stop thinking about all of it.. and I hardly got any sleep.

just Pray.
