Tonight I’ve come to realize something..

I don’t know when it happened. Parts of tonight even slowed and moved in slow motion…

The last minute of the Blazers game, screaming at the ending… so much that you can notice a change in my voice! I was jumping up and down, … it was quite a scene.

You see, moments after the Suns rattled off a 3 pointer with only 30 seconds left in the game to give them a 3 point lead, we drove the lane- kicked it out for a wide open three and nailed it to tie the game.

I shook my dad and got him out of his seat, my mom stood with me– high fiving me and yelling along with the crowd.

The Suns went down, tried to score… but we took the ball from them, calling a timeout with about 20 seconds left in the game.

We stood in amazement. The lowly Blazers, who were just one possession away from beating the #2 team in the NBA (the Suns).

The arena was about to explode with excitement… heaven was certainly peering in to see what all the commotion was about. I looked at my hands— beat red.

Blazers inbounded. Travis Outlaw drove the lane, and took a nice lay up. The crowd was awed into silence as he drove past the opposing players. The ball, rimmed around….

The arena let a sound that I’ve not heard in a long time as the ball came out. The disappointment and letdown of this momentous moment. The Suns in bounded the ball with 1 second left, and a moment later we went into overtime.

It didn’t turn the greatest, we lost in overtime. But we played a heck of a game.

You could say I love my Blazers.

And tonight I got an email and then it clicked for me, I realized…..

They love me too.

Pray Hard.
