“Am I doubting this belief

or am I believing this doubt?”

What do you think about such quotes?

“Doubt your doubts, but believe your beliefs,

What if you believe your doubts, and doubt your beliefs?”

Do you think that we ever get to a point where we end up saying one thing with our mouth and do the exact opposite in our next action?

I think we have, I think we all have.

Thankfully we have grace.. and full undeserved amounts of it.

This post isn’t about anything in particular, just listening and observing things around me make me ponder such things as these.

Are you saved if you don’t get baptized? I want to hear what you think.

My answer is that it is a requirement of us (as many other things we like to overlook). On the other hand, if we choose not to be baptized does it mean that we are not saved? John 3:16, look it up. I ask you where in that passage does it say that to be saved.. to attain salvation you must be baptized.

My understanding is this: Yes, the bible states that we indeed are to be baptized however if we dare to state that to be baptized is to be the clincher to be saved, would that be returning us to a ‘law like’ faith? In the early church many struggled with this issue along with circumcision. Really the only requirement for salvation (to be saved) is to believe as Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Clarification: I am not saying we shouldn’t be, I am saying that if you really broke it down– what does the bible say? What does Jesus say? Baptism is something… I think when you fully understand it, no believer would have a problem in partaking in. It is getting to that point of understanding and commitment. (yes I could go off about how certain people do not know what it means to be baptized, yet still partake in it… but I’m not going to)

Also, I like discussing such issues.. and this is off topic to what I origrinally said but thats fine. Its my blog, not yours 😉

Once Saved Always saved.

That is like saying when you are married to a spouse you are always married to that spouse. Is that correct? No, because (especially in terms for nowadays) divorce rate is over 50 percent, and it is actually the norm to have parents who are divorced and remarried or single. So my view on it is the same as a ‘relationship’ with Christ. That being, that it must be maintained.

I do understand that we are constantly cheating on our maker (just as we would call it cheating in a personal relationship), but are we seeking forgiveness?

Last question– if we as a body of Christ …. widely seen as hypocrites for saying one thing and doing another, aren’t we then like everyone else? I know some think that they are truly better than others, but I would say that the majority doesn’t think that…

The question is this, why are We seen as hypocrites? We .. in essence do what everyone else does. We don’t claim to be better… yet we still get that rap. In that same token many people are discouraged rather than encouraged by the gospel.

Okay, so the ‘me’ part of the update is as follows….

I studied for hours on end for some tests and still ended up failing them. I am not sure what to do and I am going to talk to the teacher about it when it is possible to do so. Maybe after I get done with this I will see if he has a class that he is currently in and go from there.

Yeah, so school… I don’t know why I am not testing well…… I have no real excuse to give. I will say that I am getting better at pushing through it and being motivated to do better than what I have.

I am however making friends with new faces.

It is 1:30… I have nothing to do until 2:30 at which time class will begin.

Spiritually where do I stand? I wish I could answer that.. it feels as if I am making myself too busy with random miscellaneous things… not always the best thing to do.

Anywho. that is all for now.
