Hey Ya’ll
More news…

Central came back with my scholarship that I was awarded.

Great news!

Double of what I was given last year.

I thought that was very good news.

Now for the bad news.

It was double of what I had last year, and less than half of what I needed this year to attend Redcliffe.

The door has been shut, and I am left frustrated. I am left to wonder why I came out to Arizona this summer. I really don’t know. For the internship so I could get a better grip on missions, but look how it has turned out. Now this? Is this something I should look at and say ‘something bigger will come up’ or maybe look at this and say ‘should I continue to pursue missions?’ — I am at a loss for words.

I am left confused.

Yes, we all have set backs.. but I don’t consider this a ‘set back’, I consider it something else– an unwanted blessing of some sort.

My last day in Arizona will be this Saturday. Then I depart for Oregon… I will have broke even this week (in my finances) and hopefully the trip back up will keep me at broke and not in debt.

Why so soon? My brother is having his court date on the 10th of August (the big court date… the one that decides who gets the kids and all that jazz) … and I want to be there.

The good news is that whatever college I choose to attend I can use that scholarship for. But, Redcliffe is out of the picture. I asked for an answer— and I got it.

Prayers are much appreciated.

“The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understand words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young- let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance- for understand proverbs and parables, the sayings and the riddles of the wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:1-7
