hey
How is everyone this Sunday afternoon?
I’m doing alright – its beautiful outside. Its cool and a little damp from last nights rain. Did I mentioned it rained last night? It was altogether lovely. Raining moderate all through the night into the wee hours, and then we played baseball. Or somewhat a version of it.. at like 12:30, it was good and fun.
In air hockey, I seem to not be able to beat Jay, and it bugs me – I mean I can beat him at everything else.. but not at this… hmm… and he isn’t even that good.. I think I need to think about something else.. haha.. anyway last night it really bugged me. My overall record is like 7 – 2. Two losses to Jay… horrible considering he loses to almost everyone else. Oh well.. he’ll get his… I uh.. gave him two wins 😉
This morning I woke up, reset my alarm twice, and still managed to wake up and make it to church in time. Fun stuff.. and at church they didn’t have the usual pastor (that made me shout.. YES! inside but shh) and the guy who was preaching today was good – its a shame he isn’t the main pastor.. I’d stay at this church. :o)
And in my search of a college next year.. I’m going through like 200 of them, so hopefully I’ll find the right one this time. Harding and Abilene don’t interest me as much anymore because of the Church of Christ affiliation.
This afternoon I will be doing homework.. I forgot about some of what I had.. so… that means I will be working into the night (most likely) getting it all finished for tomorrow. That’s fine though, because typically nothing ever happens on Sunday anyway. Tonight I am going to study for a Midterm that I have in Intro to Ministry with some friends that I’ve made in that class.
I updated my sites : http://www.jshox.com (what do you think? I even added music on the front page..)
and http://music.jshox.com (a song that a lot of people at Cascade haven’t heard before)
Lets speak of Giving.. Jesus is a giver.. he gives us a lot. He gives us Life, power, sight to the blind, food, love, light, and even his own life. (if you don’t believe me.. read your bible)
Quotes : “The Dead Sea is the dead sea because it continually receives and never gives.” – Unknown
“For it is in giving that we receive.” – Francis of Assisi
“When we come to the end of life, the question will be, How much have you given? not, How much have you gotten?” – George Sweeting
I figured it was quite a while since I gave out anything for people to think about, and quotes for people to ponder.. so there you have it kids! Be a blessing to others.
Take care, God Bless
Ciao
