Hm
I think I want to go to some faraway place.. then come back and say all this stuff that everyone will precieve as deep. No matter what I say.. even if I say.. Kablam, or say a lame joke.. people will wait.. think… put their hands to their mouth and walk away thinking… wow that was deep. What’s that called? I think some people like to come across as deep.. but really.. I mean I’m not saying any one person in particular is shallow, but were all along the same lines in depth.. some a little more.. some less.
So yep.. uhm.. today I found out that I make the company like 55 dollars every hour I work… no wonder why they like me haha
I didn’t really care about my handle time (talk time- actual time I’m on the phone with the customers) so I talked to customers today.. maybe a bit more than I should’ve but ah well. They can deal with it.
Two stories… One customer I talked to about call centers (she was in FL and me in AZ ordering a part for her..) she talked about how she called Subway to have them deliver.. and they kept telling her the Subs she wanted were not available to order. She fought with them about how she’s 5 minutes away from the store, and they DO have the thing she is ordering.. then she asked where they were “they said India, and then I hung up.” haha I was saying.. hey.. look a lot of places are out of the country, so I like companies who stay in the US and don’t outsource the jobs. Yah.. that was the topic of one convo.
Another one was this sweet old lady haha. I told her a service date (to have a tech out) and she said “Hold on, let me write that down, (after a few seconds) you know, I don’t have to write this information down because I’m getting old… I couldn’t remember anything when I was young” Haha.. I like that. I told her I’m the same way in most cases. (I mean comon’ people.. I’m bad with birthdays) She continued about how her son is looking after her every second and needs to keep track of her, but it drives her semi-nuts because she can after all – take care of herself. (I kept thinking awww what a nice son) Then she told me.. that when I get old my best friend will be my TV, because that’s her best friend. She said.. “sometimes I fall asleep watching the TV, so I just record it so when I wake up.. I can resume play” haha I could just picture an old lady falling asleep watching TV.
Then she talked about how she loved seeing her niece because of how young she was.. how vibrant and how much energy she had. She told me.. that’s how she was in her head.. but her body is just so old. You could hear it in her voice. She told me that she feels old when she hangs around people her age, but not when she is with her niece, they fool around, have a good time, and she really enjoys it. I ended up getting off the phone with her shortly after (I never lost control of the call and she was rambling.. its more like I was saying “oh yeah?…. ” kinda keepin it alive. – I like those calls, yes.. the ones where I control it so my handle time isnt too outrageous.
So I guess today wasn’t that bad. Last night (as I said) the Blazers lost. But Damon had a Triple-Double (the first Blazers player to do so since 2001) and you know who got it in 01? Damon.
