Maybe we should get a tour bus πŸ˜‰

Last week we went to LA again. I’m beginning to think we just don’t stay home on the weekends. We asked Arabella last night if she felt we had traveled enough and she said “no”. Haha. Silly girl!    She does pretty well in the car for the most part. As long as we take a bathroom break and bring snacks! She likes reading her books and playing with her toys as we drive.    We spent one night at Grammy (Gee Gee) and Grampy’s (Gae Gae) house and then headed to Universal City for part of the day.       We all rode the Los Angeles subway for the first time (because why not?!)      It was kind of dirty and very warm. It was an interesting experience but Arabella loved it! She had a lot of fun looking out the window.    We rode to the end of the red line and back.            It was neat to see their central station. And then we headed back to Universal (which was packed). We decided to try the new fast and furious ride. It was Meh.      She slept through the earthquake on the tram!   The glitter on her dress stuck to her face :/ and to everyone else!     [wpvideo oOLUdAMO]  Then we headed down to Brea and relaxed for the night.         She enjoyed seeing all of the fish (I think an aquarium trip is in our future).             And since we were so close we at least needed to touch the ocean!       But all fun must come to an end… It was time to go home! That night we actually stayed in a special hotel (not the best quality) but we all laughed so hard about everything that our bellies ached! We are learning to appreciate life… Despite any unforeseen unfortunate events or not so fun surprises. Sometimes laughing can turn what could be an awful experience into a absolutely hilarious one. Laughter is the best medicine! And then we really went home…       And then we rested πŸ™‚

More Traveling… Because why not?!

It was a warm week last week!

I know I just posted but that was about the prior week and it was just getting too long. So let’s talk about last weekend (Jay and I’s anniversary weekend).

It was a little warm out. We wanted to go somewhere cooler and decided on Flagstaff! Yay! Who doesn’t love the smell of trees!

Since we have the parks pass we have been trying to go to a bunch of national parks. On the way to flagstaff we stopped off at Montezuma’s Castle. It was a cool monument. And it’s a short walk… Unlike most of the parks we visit.

It  even had a creek!!! Thought everyone at home would get a kick out of its name!
Apparently if you drive a few miles down the road you can get out and play in the water… Perhaps ideas for next time!

On Sunday we headed back to the petrified forest and the painted desert!

Arabella loved the dinosaurs!

It was a nice relaxing trip!

I think this week we will all need a little rest!

Busy With Life πŸ™‚

Well we have been really busy lately. We travel most weekends for fun or to escape the heat.  Arabella loves exploring!

I think the last time I posted was a couple weeks ago. Right after we got Princess. Wow has a lot happened since then!

Arabella started coloring… On everything! Including me. I really badly wanted to throw every marker away but decided that grace was a better choice. Now we are working on teaching the right places to color!

It’s a work in progress.

A couple weekends ago we made a big trip. We got a hotel in Vegas and then headed to Death Valley! Arabella got her new car seat that is special just for traveling (no it wasn’t installed in this photo.. We were just “trying it on”).

We woke up early the next morning and headed out… It was only a couple hours drive from Vegas!

It was warm at 9am but it wasn’t as warm as we thought it would be.

We found these huge bees that kept following us around. They were seriously the largest bees we had ever seen! But there were some fun things to see!

Scott’s castle was a lot of fun! It was fun to try and imagine who lived there and what it must have been like in its hay day.

There is also a fun crater that was created by a volcano.

The last thing we visited in Death Valley was Badwater Basin… The lowest point in North America (maybe South America too). It was surrounded by natural table salt!

Then we returned to Vegas for the evening to relax a little before our plans the next day!

We decided to watch the water show and then catch dinner at Gordon Ramsey’s Burgr. Then we went back to the hotel and crashed!

The next day we spent a couple hours in the city, saw the sights (including the pawn stars shop) and began our journey back to Phoenix!

We visited the Hoover Dam again. And it was educational/fun! Thank heavens their is air conditioning in the bathrooms lol because when you start feeling warm you can sneak away and sit under the vent to cool off! Haha.

Then we headed on and visited the London Bridge because it wasn’t that far away and only an hour out of our way..

We got there right before sun down.

And then we headed back home to get some rest from our busy weekend!
