HELLO FALL!

Summer Slideshow <- new photosIt’s true that fall is finally here! It is my all time favorite time of the year. I’ve been excitedly looking for the leaves to start changing and I have already began introducing our condo to the new fall scents.Β  Our house is beginning to transition into the feeling of fall. We even have pumpkin scented cleaners! πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚Summer was amazing this year. It was filled with hikes, waterfalls, and lush green rain forests. The kids enjoyed all of the fresh air and being able to see all of the new things. We hiked small trails, mountains, suspension bridges, to the bases of many waterfalls, through rainforests, and along the coasts of the pacific wonderland. It was a magical summer full of adventure. We were also able to visit a theme park, museums, historical locations, and a few new cities.πŸƒπŸ‚πŸƒArabella finally had her 4 year check up and has really grown up! She has started working on addition and still loves reading anything she can get her hands on. Right now she loves reading Magic Treehouse books and the Rainbow Fairy series. She still loves pink pigs, being a princess and dancing.πŸπŸ‚πŸƒElijah has somehow turned into a toddler overnight. He’s running and playing harder than kids twice his size. He loves getting into everything he possibly can, hugging his teddy bear known as “bear-bear” and reading the same book over and over again. He also knows the names of many body parts and enjoys eating pretty much anything that is put in front of him.πŸƒπŸ‚πŸLife is still a little crazy and we are trying to figure out if we will be staying in the Pacific Northwest or moving back to the Copper State. I guess only time will tell. Until then we are all just going to enjoy the fall.πŸ‚πŸπŸƒ

Wandering the Wonderland

With our second consecutive national parks pass nearing the end we have decided to see as much of the outdoors as we can until it expires! We plan on getting another eventually… once we decide where our compass is taking us. We’ve been traveling locally a little and hiking a lot more. The kids adore being outside. I can’t blame them because I really enjoy it too!

Two of our most recent trips: Mount St. Helens & Hoh Rainforest

It’s been a while…

I haven’t been blogging much since we moved back to Oregon. Things have been crazy. It’s been sunny most of the time and yet I have felt more down than in a long time. I don’t know what it is about being back but it just doesn’t feel like it used to. I don’t know if it’s going from living in a house to a condo or the lack of palm trees. I’ve just felt more stressed since we’ve been back. It’s so nice being close to family but we haven’t been able to see them as much as I thought we would.

We have officially been here for over two months. A lot has happened! Elijah turned 1!

I honestly can’t believe a year has already gone by! It was such a special experience to have family close by to celebrate with! Some of my best memories as a kid were going camping with my big family and just spending time together. Swimming with my siblings and exploring with my cousins! And now we are back in the Pacific Northwest with hopes of sharing a tiny bit of that with our kids!

The kids really enjoy being outside. We’ve taken them hiking numerous times! Arabella is a big explorer. She enjoys finding little things to study and observe along the way. Elijah loves climbing everything in sight. They are double trouble haha.

I will try to blog more in the future. I just need to work on getting things more organized!
