The Kids…
The kids have grown a lot this year! They have explored all kinds of new places and experienced all kinds of new adventures! Arabella is 4 going on 14 and Elijah talks non-stop! They are so different from one another. Arabella is girly and loves getting messy. Elijah is rough and tumble and doesn’t prefer being dirty. They both have strong personalities and know exactly what they want!
Elijah recently had a doctor’s appointment and his pediatrician said that he is so smart it’s dangerous! In no time he will be into everything (Child locks do not work for him). She said he is very verbal for his age and is growing well.
Arabella still loves reading and being sassy. She loves playing with her pigs and ponies and prefers it when her brother is not “bothering” her 😂. She loves doing crafts and dancing and wearing dresses that look cool when she spins!
About Arabella (Air-uh-bell-uh):
She’s full of spunk. She loves My Little Ponies, jumping in puddles, going to the beach, and playing with pink pigs. Someday she wants to be a reporter/ doctor/ singer/ president: restaurant owner!

About Elijah (Ee-lye-shuh):
He’s silly as can be. He loves dancing to the theme song of Step By Step, roaring like a dinosaur and driving as many trucks and trains as he can. He is also a die-hard Portland Trailblazers fan who you can often hear chanting “Lets Go Blazers”.

Searching for Sunshine
Life has been busy once again. We’re back in school, homeschooling, and keeping up with the normal things parents have to do. This past week we traveled to LA to see the inlaws and look for the long lost sunshine. It’s been so cold here. Our heating bill is sky high, and the sky is super gray. It’s been a bit of a trying winter, and I really miss the sunshine. Our lease is up in April so who knows what will happen. But I digress. A week from yesterday we hopped in our car and drove to PDX. We arrived early because I wanted to use my Priority pass for the first time. It was a fun experience as we were able to try new restaurants and not worry about the time. However, about half way through dinner Arabella started feeling sick. Luckily they have a providence right in the airport, and it was conveniently located next to the place we were having dinner. I was able to talk to a pharmacist and get what we needed to help her feel better.
We arrived at BUR late after what felt like a very long flight. Not only was Arabella sick but J was too. We were happy to be on the ground and get ready to settle in for the night.
The next day we headed to the hotel and tried to enjoy our day. We had Grampy’s retirement party and enjoyed a relaxed evening.
The next day we had lunch at bubba gump, and then more chaos ensued. Elijah ended up getting sick. We ended up back at the hotel resting for most of the day.
On Saturday the sun was shining and everyone was feeling better. We headed to our original destination for the day. We didn’t get as many photos as normal because we were all just enjoying the park.
Before we knew it our trip was coming to an end. We headed back to the grandparents house and packed up our stuff…
only to find out that our flight had been CANCELLED!
So we enjoyed another day in the sun! The kids wanted cheeseburgers so we headed to In N Out and let them enjoy. Before we knew it we were heading to the airport and heading back to PDX.
Now we are home and planning Arabella’s birthday!!!! I can’t believe in 6 days I will have a 5 year old!!!!!!!
