Pineapple Status

It’s true… our little guy is around the size of a pineapple now! Which makes sense… I’m constantly feeling stabbing sensations! 

I went to the doctor for my bi-weekly check up and our little pineapple is about 17 inches long and around 5 lbs.  He feels bigger than that to me! With only 6 weeks to go until he is here he’s going to gain even more! I’ve gained a total of 6 pounds this pregnancy and I feel gigantic! However, the doctor told me I am exactly where I need to be weight wise and there is nothing to worry about if I gain a few more pounds. 

With only six weeks to go things are really starting to get real! We found a baby swing on Offerup for 10 bucks that is identical to the one Arabella had. I wanted one that plugged into the wall but they were all gigantic (Except the mommaroo… which I couldn’t justify). The swing we found will be just fine. We’re finally at the point where nesting is driving me crazy. I feel mostly prepared half the time and like I’m not at all prepared the next. 

The blood tests the doctor ran at my last visit indicated anemia.  So I was prescribed iron and a new prenatal. The iron pills make me feel pretty nauseated and out of commission but the doctor told me I need to get my levels up if I can bear it. I’ve decided to continue to take the supplement and try to eat more iron rich foods. Hopefully my levels will raise before I have the c-section. Bring on the steak, right LOL. 

Still no name yet… our little Pineapple probably wont have one until we leave the hospital… I guess that’s how we roll. But if you’d like to submit a suggestion there is a comment section below!
