“life is people, it just is that simple”. -The Human Experience
Yesterday’s blog about recent events had more responses than I anticipated. I felt really empowered by those who spoke up and felt that rejoicing in another’s death was not an appropriate. When I first started writing the blog I was nervous about how people might respond because of how delicate the topic was. However, the topic weighted heavily on my heart and I knew that I had to say something… even if it was in a small way.
The responses from my friends and loved ones inspired me beyond all comprehension. They inspired me with their stories and thoughts about the human condition, the value of life, and empathy. It reminded me how unique every individual is and how much impact each and every one of them can have on the world (even if it’s in a small way). Just by being themselves, by taking the risks to make themselves vulnerable to others they are shining. I am so grateful to have these people in my life. Each of them have liberated me in a different way. Thank you.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.—Marianne Williamson
