Part 2: Traveling on Trains
On the next part of our Journey we traveled to Oxford! This was by far my favorite part of our trip. It was the BEST day! We woke up early (before sunrise) <- thanks kiddos! No one was on the road because of the snow storm!
We stopped at an adorable coffee shop to warm up! Arabella had a big cup of hot chocolate and a piece of decadent chocolate cake! Yes we spoiled the kiddos when abroad! I had an amazing mocha and a scone. Seriously the pastries were to die for!

We spent the remainder of our trip in London and the surrounding cities! We saw beautiful sites like the Tower Bridge, London Tower, and St. Paul’s Cathedral!
We all were relieved how easy it was to take the tube and buses around London! They seriously have one of the best transportation systems I have ever seen! Getting the Oyster cards is one of the best ways to get around! We just used or Ergo and were on our way!

We did a lot of walking but it was worth it! We saw so much in the little time we were there! We woke up early and went to bed semi-early!
Arabella really enjoyed all of the escalators (and had no issue staying to the right!).

Elijah had his first food while in London! He had some traditional breakfast beans… And later Arabella snuck him a piece of her double chocolate muffin from Starbucks… it’s good that he has 4 teeth now! He’s also crawling and pulling himself along things now!
The attendant at Costa gave Arabella a bunch of gingerbread cookies! She thought they were yummy but “spicy”. I finally got to try the Toffee Pudding and it was AMAZING!!!

One thing I noticed about being in the UK was that people were so nice! They all were polite and had manners! It was such a breath of fresh air! Visiting made the world feel a lot smaller but also a lot nicer!
Before we knew it we were off again! Our next post will finish up the trip. Maui and home again.
Ps… the coffee since we have been back in the states tastes very weak! I am really starting to miss my UK coffee! ☕️
