Away in Our Airplane(s)

I would say that the children are seasoned travelers at this point. They have gone on countless road trips, flights, and other means of travel. This trip may have been one of the craziest adventures we have ever embarked on! 7 flights, 3 rental cars, 4 Oyster cards, tube rides, double decker red buses, river boats, uber, and shuttle vans… 9 states, 3 kingdoms, 2 countries, and then home again in time for Christmas! Day 1 & 2: We flew out of Los Angeles and into Charlotte. We transferred planes in Charlotte and headed to JFK! In JFK we had a 12+ hour layover. We spent some time on the east coast discovering the local scenery and exploring where Jason was born!

Day 2 & 3: After a night of very little sleep from mom and dad (kids slept well)… we headed to the airport, went through security, and headed to Heathrow!

From Heathrow we drove up to Inverness! Arabella absolutely loved seeing all of the Castles. It felt very Christmasy as they got some surprise snow! After stopping for the night we headed out and were able to explore Manchester and Liverpool! While in Liverpool we were able to stay in a castle that overlooked the ocean. We also had a chance to try a traditional English breakfast.

That’s all I’m going to load into this post!!! In the next one I’ll start off with Oxford and hopefully finish up our trip… we will see!
