Less than16 days…
Well here we go… another week down. There isn’t a whole lot going on. I’m still sick with a cold but am hoping that it goes away very soon. I saw the doctor on Monday again. Listened to the little heart beat, got measured, asked my normal questions, etc. Everything seems to be right on schedule or a little ahead of schedule. Baby is low and in the right position to come whenever he or she decides to. Rib kicks and pelvic pressure are part of our everyday routine so hopefully it wont be long now. It’s hard to believe that I’ll be 38 weeks on Friday. Time is flying.
I have to admit that I have an amazing husband. Last night I thought he was stuck on a call late. Usually he gets home around 12:45 and last night I was watching the clock he wasn’t home at 1:00. 15 minutes isn’t too bad but usually he’s home right around the same time. 15 minutes late seemed a little off but I kept dinner warm and waited to hear from him. Soon enough I got a text that he was on his way home. When he got here he surprised me with soup and cookies. 🙂 He had ran to walmart (the only 24hr place around) to pick up some stuff for me… just to make me feel better. Just thought I would share how amazing he is. I always read these things online about women who find their men cheating while they are pregnant or men who go out drinking while their wives are at home pregnant. I feel very blessed that I don’t have to worry about either of those situations. My husband isn’t perfect but he is perfect for me. And I appreciate when he goes all of the way out of his way just to surprise me with soup and cookies.
He’s not just thoughtful in ways of surprising me with food though. Last Saturday on our way to church we left early. We didn’t really have enough time to do anything… church is a bit of a drive for us but for now it seems to be the only one that we can find that suits our needs. It’s pretty far south of where we are but they have a Saturday evening service. Doesn’t sound like a big deal.. but on our schedule an early or even late morning service is really difficult for us. We don’t even get to bed most nights until after 3 or 4 am. We try to keep our schedule pretty much the same on the weekends so we don’t have to adjust. Getting up at 8 or 9 am is very difficult. This church has enough services that we have the flexibility to go at 4pm. It’s nice to actually be able to enjoy worship and hear the minister speak… without fighting to stay awake. But I digress… this past week we left early. AND we went to see the horses. Mr. Ed let me pet him a few times. It isn’t very often we get to visit them but my dear husband took me and surprised me with a trip to see them. Of course afterwards we headed to church and heard an awesome sermon on prayer (that’s the current study topic) and then headed out and about to run a few errands and catch some dinner.
Yesterday Jay got an e-mail saying our plaque had been added to the Santa Monica Pier. The lady even sent us photos. I’m not going to add many of them so that Jay can add them to his blog. But I will add one just out of excitement. Now we have a Brick in Portland (the city we Met) and a Plaque in Los Angeles (where we started our lives together). The brick was our Valentines day present a couple of years ago and the plaque was our Christmas present this year.
Other than that not too much else is new. We’re just waiting and praying and living life. Hope everyone is doing well. Here are a few extra random photos for today.
Please remember you can subscribe via e-mail on the right side. Once little one is here I will have a hard time sending out the updates to everyone for a bit… at least until I feel a little more human again. ->
PS Today is my mother in laws birthday… so shout out to her!!!
